I'm going to have to be supremely annoying and spread today's events (and the remainder of yesterday's) over a couple of posts - do forgive me :) Now let's get this show on the road.
So this morning, my beautiful girls and I strolled along to some lovely markets in Balmain (anyone in Sydney/coming to Sydney - seriously quality markets) and picked every corner to pieces in the search of jewellery, vintage clothing, bags, records (see above for Eliza looking pretty happy with her Bob Dylan record... that we later found was signed :O), trinkets... you name it. I ended up getting the most beautiful long skirt in the most incredible vintage-y floral print - I don't have a decent photo of it now, but I will definitely be posting some outfit shots of it (amazing amazing amazing - also rather versatile).
We then went around the local op-shops and sat and stared at the amazing sequins in Mint Condition - I would have bought them all to wear with highwaisted black skirts if it weren't for the price tag.
Thrifting fever = trip to Newtown! So off we went and found some gorgeous boutiques and op-shops we hadn't known about before. I love Newtown - all the people there are so crazy and fun and individual. One boutique that I could not get enough of was Nü + Nan which has brand products exclusive to their store (which is very sad, because now I wish I'd bought everything there with the "I can't get it anywhere else" excuse). Anyway - they stocked the most amazing floral boots I have ever seen in my life, and I wish I'd been smart enough at the time to take a photo (I can't find one online). Once I've saved the $300 odd (yep) I'm so there and they are so mine.
On that note - here's an arty desolate-y shot from the car on the way to Newtown:
And it doesn't stop there - on my way home, I stopped in at Zoe Wittner and found the most beautiful gradient cork platform wedges with a brown patent leather upper... at a discount that is almost shameful to think of :) So there's another thing I'll be sharing in the next few posts.
I'm sorry that all my posts lead into the next, and you all have to die of suspense in the time between them.
I know I would anyway :)
How are all your Easter weekends coming along?
P.S. I do realise I wore almost the same thing as I did yesterday - I was going to miss my bus :( please don't judge me! :p
*love*
